SIP presents one day seminar about Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)

The Sydney Institute for Psycho-Analysis

presents a one day seminar about

Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
with Ms Deborah Abrahams

Deborah Abrahams leads the Psychological Treatments Development Unit at the Tavistock & Portman Foundation Trust, and was previously the UK Coordinator of DIT training.

DIT is a 16 session psychodynamically informed treatment for anxiety and depression developed by Alessandra Lemma, Mary Target and Peter Fonagy.

This seminar day is not an alternative to Basic training in DIT but it is offered as an introduction with case material to provide a ’taster’ experience of DIT. The seminar day will build upon the recent DIT seminar offered in the EPIC

program at SIP and it will suit all clinicians who would like to know more about DIT before considering DIT Basic Training.

DIT Basic Training will commence in Melbourne this year, and Basic Training is likely to be offered again in Australia during 2017. Pathways to prepare for Basic Training in DIT may be developed by Members of SIP during 2017 if seminar attendees are interested in this option. Basic Training in DIT is also offered several times per year at the Anna Freud Centre in London.

If you would like to apply for the DIT seminar day please include a brief description of your professional background and any psychodynamic experience (courses, training, supervision, etc) you have had in an email to:
