Northern Rivers Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course Information Evening 2017

Northern Rivers Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course (NRPPC)
Information Evening for 2017 Intake

The NRPPC course will commence in early 2017. All are welcome to attend an obligation free Information evening on Wednesday October 12th between 7 and 8.30pm at 44 Granuaille Road, Bangalow.

The course has been successfully run in Sydney for the past 4 years as the PPC@SIP.

This year and 2017 course syllabus is based on Alessandra Lemmas book: Introduction to the Practice of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

The text provides a good foundation for clinical discussions to develop observation and listening skills that are helpful for all mental health professionals, as well as professionals engaged in organisational change and mediation.

The course suits newcomers to psychodynamic thinking as well as experienced clinicians, and NRPPC is suitable as a stand alone professional module, as a foundation for further training programs at SIP or DIT.

On October 12 there will be a brief presentation of how NRPPC will work and its costings, followed by Q&A.

Clinician members of NRPSG will be available to discuss their experience of this programme with with potential applicants for NRPPC 2017.

Course participation will include access to PEP web and Alessandra Lemmas book.

Where possible, it is recommended that participants have some personal experience of psychodynamic therapy (previous or current) to gain understanding of the course material.
