In Psychoanalytic Group Psychotherapy

 ANNOUNCEMENT

A national training program in psychoanalytic group psychotherapy will commence in 2013.   The course will offer participants training as a psychoanalytic group psychotherapist leading to qualification for membership of the Association which is affiliated with the Australian Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapies.

The 4 year course will consist of 4 parts:

  1. A program of theoretical seminars in psychoanalytic theory and group psychotherapy.
  2. Personal psychoanalytic group psychotherapy
  3. Group observation and participation in experiential groups.
  4. A clinical component involving participants conducting psychotherapy groups under supervision.

The course will comprise one evening per week with weekend block training in conjunction with AAGP meetings in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.  Additional time is required for clinical work, supervision, personal therapy and experiential groups.

Expressions of interest in the training program are invited.
