The RANZCP2019 Congress will be held
from 12–16 May 2019 at the Cairns Convention Centre and will explore the theme ‘Continuity in a world of change:
culture, diversity and mutual learning’.
Location
We invite you to attend the
RANZCP 2019 Congress in Cairns,
the gateway to Queensland’s tropical north. Cairns is a vibrant tropical
city with excellent accommodation, restaurants, boutique shopping, art
galleries, and a diverse cultural history. The City of Cairns plays host to two
unique natural wonders of the world: the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree
Rainforest, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Tropical North
Queensland is the only place in the world where two World Heritage-listed areas
are side by side.
Pre-Congress workshops
As an
integral element of the Congress scientific program, a
series of full-day and half-day pre-Congress workshops will be held on Sunday 12 May 2019. All
workshops will provide valuable insights and discussions across a broad range of
topics.

Program
Our esteemed local
and international keynote speakers will be joined by a diverse range of
speakers participating in panel discussions, debates, symposia and other oral
presentations. The program will also feature clinical updates on forensic
psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, providing a
detailed review of recent findings, advances and trends.
Wellness activities
We
encourage delegates to take some time for themselves and their wellbeing within
the Congress schedule. The
2019 program will feature sailing, walking tours, yoga and golf.

Social program
Congress
will commence with a leisurely welcome
reception at Salt House where
delegates will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of colleagues
and friends while taking in the mountain, ocean and Trinity Inlet views Tropical
North Queensland has to offer.
The annual Congress
gala dinner will take place at the
Tanks Arts Centre in the beautiful Cairns Botanic Gardens. Guests will enjoy a
meal of modern Australian cuisine, showcasing the best produce in the region,
with accompanying entertainment, in this unique location. Tickets can be
purchased with your Congress registration.
Travel and
accommodation
Early flight and accommodation bookings are
recommended to benefit from reduced rates. A range of accommodation options are
